ANNA AND JOHN J. SIE INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS COMPLEX
THE UNIVERSITY OF DENVER
Didier Design Studio led the planning and design of the Sie International Affairs Complex; a 2 acre site located at the intersection of DU’s historical core and more recent additions to the university’s expanding campus. As a site framed by convergence, the design artfully facilitates connections between adjacent buildings and provides multi-modal routes across campus. The project emphasizes the integration of safe and engaging social spaces within a series of resilient landscapes: from xeric gardens, pollinator gardens, to the creation of a display rain garden that promotes water quality and ground water recharge in a beautiful setting. The LEED (in pursuit of Gold) project was developed in collaboration with Anderson Mason Dale and university architect Mark Rodgers.
